‘elm.’ describes itself as ‘your neighbourhood café, micro-deli, and hangout’.
Once tucked away in the top floor of George Fisher, elm has now moved to a new location on Southey Street, Keswick.
The café serves specialty Red Bank coffee alongside house-made savoury dishes and cakes using only the best seasonal ingredients. In the micro-deli you can find natural wines, craft beers, local cheeses, meats, and lots of pantry staples and quirky gifts not seen anywhere else in Keswick.
We love the homemade chocolate chip cookies, they really cannot be beaten!
As well as coffee, cakes, and the most unique and varied food menu in town, elm also serve and sell a range of wines, including local products. The red ‘Roadworks on the M6’ 2023 Pinot Noir from Kendal (South Cumbria) is a personal favourite, if just for the name alone…
On Saturday evenings, elm switches things up with unique and returning-favourite events and guest menus. Past events include the Mexican Supper Club, and the town-famous Raclette night!
One of the most aesthetically-pleasing cafes in town, elm is a real hidden gem, and its new location means it might not be on your radar yet. We love a lazy morning or a late lunch in elm, and it’s clear to see how much the staff love what they do as well.
Real people, passionate about real coffee and real good food.
Why choose chains, when the locals are this good?
