Kayak Hire
One of the most versatile ways to explore the the lake, Kayaking is always fantastic fun! Derwent water is a beautiful lake to explore; the area is full of wildlife, such as different bird species, otters and occasionally the odd alpaca having a drink at the waters edge.
Kayaks on offer include:
- Single sit on top (beginner friendly).
- Single- TEMPO (for more experienced paddlers).
- Double sit on top .
- Quad sit on top.
Paddleboard Hire
A fantastic way to try one of the UKs most popular water sports!

Canoe Hire
The ideal mode of transport on water if you’re carrying children, dogs and a picnic!

Famous for Roger’s huge scones that are baked fresh every day (a personal favourite) and Tash’s delicious baked goods (brownies, lemon drizzle, gingerbread and traybakes- the list goes on). They also offer gluten-free and vegan cakes and scones so no one has to miss out! All washed down with a lovely cup of coffee, a selection of teas, hot chocolate or a refreshing cold drink.
