The Lake District Wildlife Park is a must for all animal lovers! Set in breath taking scenery just ten minutes from Keswick, you’ll find there’s plenty to see and do.
Meet over 100 species – from Anaconda to Zebra, Mandrills and Meerkats to endangered species like Asian Fishing Cats, Gibbons and Lemurs. There are a range of engaging presentations that take place daily bringing you closer to many of the park’s favourites. Bird of Prey Flying displays, Reptile Encounters and a Rare Breed Farm Animal Collection. It’s fun for all the family and a great opportunity to meet some of our most endangered species.
With conservation at the heart of the park they actively support three charities and as BIAZA members they participate in six endangered species programmes.
There is an outdoor play area and also an indoor play area with soft play and ball pool for when the Lake District weather takes a turn.

Wellbeing with Wildlife
Immerse yourself in nature on a different level. The aim of this workshop is to encourage you to relax, unwind and connect with nature in a fun and unique way. By the end you should feel refreshed and positive! Its encouraged that you get involved with all the activities on offer, but there is no pressure if there is something you don’t fancy.
Alpaca Walking
Get up close and personal with the Alpacas! Lend a hand giving Hugo, Hector, Herbie, Dougal and Marley a daily dose of fresh air and exercise with one of the experienced keepers. You will take a walk around the beautiful Armathwaite Hall Estate whilst taking in the stunning backdrop of the Lake District mountains.
Ages 16+, maximum 4 people.
Ultimate Animal Experience
This experience is the ideal treat for animal lovers, and a truly unforgettable one at that! Within this experience you will meet and spend time with Muffin and Zico the Tapirs (they love scratches and are super loveable), play with the Meerkats, and relax with the Ring-Tailed Lemurs.
Suitable for ages 8+.
Bird of Prey Experience
After enjoying a Bird of Prey flying display your experience will begin. The park’s falconer will teach you how to recall and hold the birds, starting with an owl. After this you will move outside to spend time with the free flying hawks who will fly from tree to your gloved hand. If you begin to feel more confident you will then be able to move on to the bigger birds!
