Fitz Park

A view of people playing football on Fitz Park green.

Fitz Park is perfectly nestled toward the residential area of Keswick, with glorious open views towards Skiddaw and Latrigg, and is an ideal spot for picnics.

The Lower Park has a large open recreational area, cricket pavilion, and fantastic children’s playground as well as a multi-use games area, outdoor gym equipment, and a BMX track.

It is also a beautiful spot for a run, with smooth tarmac tracks providing the ideal circuit for runners, including the Keswick Park Run!

Grab yourself a tasty picnic, let the kids blow off steam in the play area, and enjoy the stunning views and calming sounds of the river Greta.

The upper park is a smaller formal area with bowling green, grass tennis courts, a putting green, and table tennis!

This is where café HNW is located; a cycle-friendly cafe selling coffee, churros, cakes, and more, all year round! All of their produce is locally sourced, supporting local businesses from around the Lake District. You can view all of their local suppliers over on the cafe HNW website.

For keen cyclists, it is the perfect pitstop with a cycle repair station, bike racking, free water bottle refills, charging stations and plenty of snacks to fuel you for your ride.

In the evening, pop down and enjoy some live music with their open-air performances and a glass of something fizzy! Live music will be on every Saturday (4pm-6pm) and Sunday (2pm-4pm) depending on the weather. Check out their website to find out more, with live music returning from April 2026.
