This includes an integrated fan-assisted oven with automatic gas hob, a dishwasher, a fridge, a microwave oven, and a stand-alone freezer. The cupboards are well stocked with utensils, and there is even a flask and lunch boxes for taking out onto the fells - the owners have really thought of everything for your comfort! There is a washer-dryer, an iron, an ironing board and a clothes airer for indoor use only.
There are comfortable sofa and armchairs in the living room. There is a large patio window which has views up to the fells in the distance. For entertainment, there is a 39 inch Smart TV, superfast Wi-Fi, and a DAB radio. The bookcase holds a range of novels, plenty of local OS maps, walking guides, and leaflets about local attractions.
The bedroom is spacious, and contains a Super-King sized bed. The bedroom has matching solid wood furniture, including bedside cabinets with lamps, a dressing table with stool, a double wardrobe, and a bookcase with a selection of books. Very good short stay in beautiful part of the lakes. It was short, easy distance from home and had everything you could require. It was very pleasantly decorated and furnished and provided all our needs. Would definitely stay there again.
A lovely bolt hole within walking distance of Keswick and a good base for walking straight from the door. The apartment is well equipped, spacious for two, with a good view of walla crag.
First time in Harney Peak and and what a fabulous place to enjoy the Lake District. Very spacious for a one bedroom cottage, with excellent equipment and décor making it a very homely stay. Although the large patio doors are locked for safety, they do provide a super view across to the Fells, and makes the room very light. The added benefit too is a shared store and drying room opposite the door, ideal for those 'odd days' when it rains whilst out walking or cycling. The Farmers Arms pub is within a short distance, and the Portinscale café is a 1 minute walk across the road from the cottage door. Parking is ideal, enough space for our long wheelbase RAV. The one tiny issue was the folding shower door on the bath, we had difficulty getting it to seal and in the end we left in in place and squeezed into the bath close to the sink. It was so nice we re-booked for September this year.
