Appletree is a 3/4 bedroom, 3 bath/shower room house in the quiet Lakeside village of Portinscale (just outside Keswick). A fabulous home with much thought and consideration given to the layout, decoration and furnishing. Very well finished offering spacious, high quality accommodation with some lovely homely touches. Wonderful fell views to the front and rear, an enclosed garden and off road parking for three cars.
We stayed for a week with 4 adults, 1 teenager and a Labrador and we couldn't have asked for more. On arrival the cottage was clean and tidy and much more luxurious than we had expected. The cottage was well stocked with everything you could need and more and it was great to have access to a washing machine and dryer. The beds were really comfortable and the area was quiet and located a short 15 min walk from Keswick. The enclosed garden was ideal for guests with dogs and was loved by our Labrador Dexter. We would definitely book through Keswick Cottages again and I would recommend Appletree as a great cottage for families.Teresa

A charming Lakeland 'snug' with views of Skiddaw, Barf Cottage is situated in the tranquil village on the edge of Derwentwater. Within an easy 20 minute walk to the market town of Keswick the cottage is a stone throw away from the local pub The Farmers Arms, a 5 minute walk from 'The Chalet' tearooms and a 10 minute walk to Derwent and Nicole End Marinas. The cottage retains all the original features of a traditional Lakeland home yet at the same time offers modern fixtures, comfort and style. A small yet characterful front garden has outdoor seating to enjoy that 'post hike' drink on sunny afternoons and evenings. The cottage serves as a wonderful bolthole for couples, small groups of friends or families.
What a fab cottage. We have stayed in the Lake District many times but never in Portinscale and loved the location being so close to Keswick. The cottage is spacious and home from home. Some lovely thoughtful touches for the dog and handy bike storage. The weather this week was amazing in the high 20's only a few drops of rain on Friday, first time for us in the Lakes when we didn't need all our waterproofs. Climbed Scafell Pike, Catbells, Maiden Moor and High Spy. Loads of dog walks, drove the Honister pass to Buttermere...stunning! Sad to return to 'flat' Norfolk! The Peachments & Barney Dog

Birchgate is a lovely, traditional Lakeland stone cottage, tucked away from any passing traffic but still within a few minutes' stroll to Fitz Park, the town centre and Lake Derwentwater. The cottage has a warm and cosy feel with a real fireplace for snug winter evenings along with a chiminea outside for alfresco dining in the summer. Its own parking space completes this ideal holiday cottage.

A superb semi-detached bungalow with wonderful views on an attractive site within a pleasant residential area on the edge of Keswick, between Fitz Park and the lower slopes of Latrigg. ‘Blencathra’ is about a 10 minute easy stroll to Keswick’s Market Square.
The accommodation was spotlessly clean, really well equipped and in a lovely, private location with stunning views and my brother(down from Glasgow)and I really enjoyed our 4-night stay. We were both delighted and we got really lucky with weather. Rebecca at Keswich Cottages could not have been more helpful. 5 star. Thank you from both of us. PS Hope to return with my wife.Vince Leonard

This gold award winning spacious and stylish house is full of character and provides luxury accommodation equipped for all the family. Built in 1727, original features have been sympathetically restored with the addition of modern facilities. This house provides you with the best of both worlds and is located right at the heart of Keswick. Boasting use of a large shared garden & tennis court. Lovely fell views.
Love Keswick Cottages. Have stayed with them since they first opened when only the cottage was ready. Have stayed in all of them at some point apart from the Mews and my favourite is Bridge house followed by Apt 2. Bridge house is wonderful with plenty of space even if it was full to maximum occupancy. It has just been refurbished and looks amazing. Great boot room/ cloak room and extra places to hang coats etc in the front porch if needed. Kitchen well equipped all though we eat our evening meal out. Plenty of walks to do from the door or you can catch a bus which is a 5 minute walk away from the bus station. Big bonus is car parking. Have stayed in other places when we couldn’t get booked but not as good. Julie and Andy are all ways available and if you have a problem it is sorted straight away. Highly recommend Keswick Cottages.Julie
