A charming Lakeland 'snug' with views of Skiddaw, Barf Cottage is situated in the tranquil village on the edge of Derwentwater. Within an easy 20 minute walk to the market town of Keswick the cottage is a stone throw away from the local pub The Farmers Arms, a 5 minute walk from 'The Chalet' tearooms and a 10 minute walk to Derwent and Nicole End Marinas. The cottage retains all the original features of a traditional Lakeland home yet at the same time offers modern fixtures, comfort and style. A small yet characterful front garden has outdoor seating to enjoy that 'post hike' drink on sunny afternoons and evenings. The cottage serves as a wonderful bolthole for couples, small groups of friends or families.
A very enjoyable week in a super cosy cottage. Enjoyed lots of walks from the door. Loved playing 'Trivial Persuit' on an evening with a drink! Thank you for a lovely clean, well equipped cottage. Hope to return! The Husbands

A superb semi-detached bungalow with wonderful views on an attractive site within a pleasant residential area on the edge of Keswick, between Fitz Park and the lower slopes of Latrigg. ‘Blencathra’ is about a 10 minute easy stroll to Keswick’s Market Square.
Convenient for central Keswick and shops. Well equipped, though somewhere to hang coats would be helpful. Garage really useful for storing boots, bikes and kayak and children buggies. Conservatory excellent, great views, house warm and comfortable. Parking even for two cars not an issue - a real plus point for Keswick. We intend to come back.Rob

Gold award winning ground floor apartment, built in 1707 now with deluxe underfloor heated tiled floor throughout. With original Georgian features sympathetically restored, this apartment makes an ideal base from which to explore all Keswick has to offer. The apartment is part of the Bridge House Complex which offers private parking for two cars, large shared garden and a tennis court.
The apartment is perfectly located - only a few minutes walk to the supermarket, shops, pubs and other Keswick amenities, and only about 10 minutes down to the lake. It is in a gated complex (6 properties in all), with large garden with trampolines, which my grandson, who has autism, absolutely loved! There's parking for 2 cars, which is a huge plus. The apartment was very clean and well appointed, 3 bedrooms, and dog-friendly. Already booked again for next year!J Farrage
