The “Squorange”, as it’s affectionally known by locals and visitors alike, is an unexpected gem found nestled in the heart of Keswick. With a full bar, speciality coffee menu, freshly made stone baked pizzas and live music evenings; the warm and welcoming atmosphere is one you will find hard to leave!

Established in 1998, the Square Orange aim was to bring a taste of the continental café bar culture to the Lake District. It worked and with the help of a great team continues to work tirelessly to develop the unique fusion of Lakeland hospitality and European flavour.

With guest wines from family run vineyards, local microbreweries offered alongside Belgian and German beers, rotating coffee blends from Cumbrian roasteries as well as sourcing further afield flavours from India & South America, we pride ourselves on using a wide range of authentic and high quality suppliers.

So why not join us for a catch up with a pot of tea and a slice of cake or a cup of one of our carefully chosen coffee blends. Food at the Oak is in keeping with the style and demand of its customers – hearty portions of traditional pub food served in either the bar area or restaurant.

The Royal Oak thrives on being a busy pub in a small village, as well as the extensive bar menu it is also home to a host of real ales all brewed by local brewer Jennings Brothers. It is said that it’s the extra things that count and at the Oak Manager Gemma and her team will go out of their way to provide these.

Bar Metro, is an American themed family friendly diner.  Bar Metro opened in October 2014 and has been serving great American and Tex Mex Style food ever since.

Our food is sourced locally wherever possible and our meals are produced with the best ingredients we can get.  We make our burgers from scratch and we flame grill our BBQ meats and veg so you can enjoy the full flavour of great food.

Ravenstone Lodge Hotel is a small privately owned 3-star Country House Hotel with rosetted restaurant and a bistro situated in glorious Lake District scenery beneath Skiddaw, between Ullock Pike and Bassenthwaite Lake and just a few minutes’ drive from Keswick in Cumbria.
