The cottage is very central, close to Fitz park and only a minutes walk to the shops, pubs and restaurants of Keswick, and is ideally situated for all amenities. There is parking for one car at the rear of the cottage and also a parking permit for additional parking less than 50 metres away. The cottage is double glazed and has remote controlled gas central heating throughout. This is a very well finished cottage and we recommend this property to visitors who want to be very central. At the front of the cottage there is a small area with slate chips and potted shrubs. As you enter the cottage you will appreciate the spacious, well furnished open plan lounge. The lounge has two two seater sofas. There is a traditional Lakeland slate and mineral fireplace with an electric stove, ideal for cosy nights in. An HD smart TV, DVD player, CD player & ipod dock are provided.  Wi-Fi is available throughout the cottage. The dining area has an oak dining table and six chairs and pine dresser. This room is well lit and very comfortable. To the back of the cottage is the kitchen which is compact but very well equipped and finished. Facilities include gas oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge with a small freezing compartment, microwave and all equipment needed for your holiday. From the kitchen there is a small porch with a washing machine and clothes dryer. On the first floor there are two good sized bedrooms. The twin bedroom has two single beds and modern oak furniture and looks out to the front towards the town. A wall mounted HD smart TV and DVD player is provided.   The second bedroom is a single room which again is well furnished and views towards Latrigg and Skiddaw. On this floor is the bathroom which is fully tiled and very nicely finished and has bath with power shower over, WC and wash basin. One bath and one hand towel per person is provided. The master bedroom is on the second floor. This is a large room with beams and sloping ceilings and has fabulous views from both windows. The room itself is very nicely furnished with double bed, quality oak furniture but with the added benefit of two wicker chairs, a small table and a compact HD smart TV and DVD player - a room to escape from other members of the party! From the master bedroom there is access over the windowsill to the roof terrace where there is a table and 5 chairs and some potted plants. There is sun on this terrace all day and the views over the rooftops to the fells are stunning and constantly changing. Free Wi-Fi & landline phone-calls are included in the rental. Reduced Occupancy is available at Abacourt Cottage from September to April  (excluding school holidays). We are able to offer this service by locking off un-used rooms saving on cleaning and energy costs.  Prices are reduced to reflect the number of bedrooms/bathroom used. Standard 1 bedroom booking (double bedroom & main bathroom), 2 bedroom booking (as 1 bedroom booking + 1 x twin bedroom). If this room configuration is not what your require, please contact the office either by phone or email with your room choices.  Please note there will be a £15 charge for any room changes on or after date of arrival at the property. Pets are accepted by prior arrangement.

Cental keswick, easy to reach local shops, pubs, restaurants. It's only a 10 min walk to the lake. The house has lovely views , especially from the top floor balcony. the property is well appointed. We have stayed in this house twice, as we found it to be in a great location for what we needed. We were in Keswick for the jazz festival and my husband who was playing at the festival could easily walk to the various venues that were being used for festival.
Whittingham from Bristol 17th May 2017
What a wonderful time we've had at Abacourt Cottage. It was a great base for exploring the Lakes and really comfortable - it felt like coming home after a long day exploring. We did a lot of milage in our week here, but there just too much to see, will defiantly be back! Thank you
Kathleen from UK 28th September 2016
This is the second time we have stayed in Abacourt Cottage and absolutely love it! The cottage is spacious enough but cosy with everything you could possibly need, a well equipped kitchen and Smart TV! We booked through Keswick Cottages who I would highly recommend everytime.
The Cole Family from Highworth 28th December 2015
We had a great stay at Abacourt cottage, it's very convenient for the centre of Keswick and very comfortable
Darntons 8th May 2015
This is our 7th holiday with Keswick Cottages & our first stay in Abacourt - a fabulous slate cottage, beautifully decorated & with everything we could possibly need. The central location was perfect, as was the parking permit as we were in 2 cars. We will certainly be back.
Sue Mellor from Nottingham 13th February 2015
A wonderful cottage- home from home- in a great location. Loved the addition of the Christmas decorations. Thanks for a great stay in your cottage. See you again!
Platt Family from York 5th December 2014
Wonderful stay at Abacourt cottage. Nice welcome and very helpful team. I will try to come back if I can.
Geraldine from London 1st January 2015
Abacourt cottage is a super cottage clean, cosy, immaculate, and central for what you want on your doorstep. Been using Keswick cottages for the last few years staying a couple of times a year summer and late Autumn. Would recommend Keswick cottages you would not be disappointed. And Keswick has a wetherspoons now, for that cheaper pint! Not forgetting all the other long standing pubs eating businesses... Enjoy....Dog and gun is my favourite! The Ghoulash is delicious...
Mr Warden from Darlington 3rd November 2014
The house was in perfect order with nothing at all missing. It was large and comfortable and right near the centre of Keswick, within five minutes walking of the centre. The views to the hills out of the top bedroom window were truly breathtaking. Everything really was as advertised and of the highest standard. For example, the TVs in all the rooms had lots of varied and interesting channels, the Wi-Fi Internet worked to perfection (fast and with a rock-solid connection), and there was even a varied selection of games in a cupboard in the lounge. Overall, the level of accomodation was nearly perfect and greatly contributed to our having one of the best holidays we have ever had. Would we go back to Abacourt Cottage? We loved the house and there was so much to do in Keswick that we didn't have time to do it all in just one week, so of course, we are already planning when we can return to it and to Keswick. It was really wonderful and we can't think of any way in which it could have been better.
Alan Russell from Edinburgh 11th October 2014
Abacourt Cottage was everything that we had hoped it would be. It was a delightful cottage, in a prime position, which has been decorated and furnished to a high standard. It had all the facilities that we could wish to find, it was extremely comfortable and the touches like the pictures etc really made it very special and individual. The added bonus was to have a parking space at the rear, plus a Parking Permit if needed. It seems as though every possible requirement had been thought about and planned for. We had a very special and memorable stay and the Cottage itself contributed considerably towards that outcome. Thank you very much indeed for all the attention to detail in order to provide a quality holiday cottage. We will definitely recommend it to others.
Mrs Williams from Ealing 15th November 2013
Second year running at Abacourt Cottage. Great location in central Keswick and perfect for the 5 of us. Cottage had everything we needed to make the stay nice and relaxed. Couldn't ask more from Keswick Cottages in terms of organisation. Happily recommend Abacourt Cottage and Keswick Cottages.
Steve Taylor from Northamptonshire 8th April 2013
Our second visit to this cottage and it's excellent as usual. No rain until Friday! How lucky were we!
