Number Three The Townhouses offers spacious accommodation for up to eight adults, in three double or king bedrooms and one twin bedroom, set over three floors of accommodation. One bedroom is at ground floor level for those who prefer to avoid stairs. Unique to the Townhouses, Number Three retains its original period floor tiling in both the kitchen and hallway, and its original log burning fireplace in the living area. Some of the period bedroom fireplaces are retained in the bedrooms (decorative only). The kitchen is styled with a nod to the retro, featuring Eames DWS chairs based on the original by the American designers Charles and Ray Eames, and teamed with a walnut finish kitchen table. A fresh new bathroom and a further ground floor shower area are provided for convenience. A small outdoor area with seating and lockable outdoor storage are provided, perfect for bicycles or other small outdoor equipment.

Fully refurbished and styled to a beautiful high standard, the Townhouse offers you the option to stay together with friends or family in your very own private Lakeland residence. Built at the turn of the century in the vernacular slate architecture, the Townhouses are warm and welcoming yet stylish, light and spacious. The houses are tastefully stocked to make your stay in the Lake District a pleasure. Many period features are retained and sympathetically restored, including original floor tiles, fireplaces and ceiling coving. The four elegant bedrooms are spread out over three floors for space, comfort and privacy. On the ground floor there is a spacious bedroom with king size bed,  a well stocked kitchen teamed with walnut finish dining table, and also a shower room to the back of the house.  Essentials such as new cutlery, utensils, cookware and appliances are paired with indulgent little extras such as a new espresso machine and a selection of espresso pods.  The stylish living area is on the first floor with a log burning stove to complement the new central heating enjoyed throughout.  A flat screen smart TV permits access to Netflix, Now TV, Amazon Prime  (please bring your subscription details to log in to these services) as well as a DVD player and normal TV channels. Also on the first floor is the main family bathroom, and a double bedroom. Cole and Lewis bathroom toiletries are offered in the bath and shower rooms, together with fresh towels. The twin bedroom is on the 2nd floor and can be made up as super-king on request (please be aware there is a £15 charge for this service), along with another double bedroom. High specification wifi is provided throughout for your convenience and connectivity to home. Each house has its own private outdoor area, with seating to enjoy a meal or a glass of wine at the end of the day.   The restaurants, wine bars, supermarkets and other diversions of Keswick are only a moment’s walk away yet the quietude of the fells can be experienced in under an hour’s walk or a few minutes drive.  Windows open onto views of Skiddaw and Latrigg to the north and to Catbells over the rooftops of Keswick to the south. Visitors to No.3 have the conveniance of a complimentary parking permit to the adjacent long stay car park. Additional parking permits may be available to hire at £25 for a week or £15 for a short break, subject to availability. Please note the Townhouses are not available for hen or stag events.

We visited Keswick for a long weekend with two other couples to do some walking in the fells. We were delighted with the accommodation, which was well appointed and centrally located. The place was spotless and well equipped. It was very easy dealing with the owners who were extremely helpful and prompt in their responses. Overall a great experience and we have booked again for next year.

We had a family weekend in Keswick, we visit Keswick 1-2 times a year since I can remember and it was our first time staying in a self catered cottage! We were extremely impressed by the warm, homily accommodation! It had everything we needed and more for a relaxing weekend! Help from Keswick Cottages in organising the weekend with emails and advice has been superb!
